Reminiscing Alaska: Day Two. Minnesota and North Dakota

In June of 2017, four of us headed out to ride our motorcycles to Alaska. These memories are from that trip.  Enjoy!

For the Minnesota crew, day two really felt like things were under way. We all woke up under the same blue sky, slept in the same campground, and were looking at a full day of riding together.

We meandered our way through Minnesota towards U.S. Highway 2 en route to Devils Lake State Park in North Dakota.

Parting shot: The wind was freaking brutal in North Dakota.

  1. Having grown up in Northwestern Minnesota on the Canadian Boarder I know too well how brutal the wind can be. Great video. I really don’t have an excuse for not taking more myself. We leave on our journey along the Trans-Wisconsin Adventure Trail Overland Route on Friday. Should make a good story. I’m looking forward to your next post.

    1. Glad you enjoyed the video Tobias. I let Apple help with putting it together. I provided the photo album and “they” put it together. Simple enough. Good luck on the trans wi. Heading north or south? My crew are planning the trip in September.

      1. North from Black River Falls to Sand Bay. South of Black River Falls it’s all paved. North of there it’s mostly sand tracks and unmaintained dirt and gravel roads. We’ll be tackling it our trusty Adventuremobile a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. If you’re passing through in or around La Crosse Wisconsin, please let me know. I’d love to grab a drink with you guys.
